After years of dabbling with crossword puzzles, Rich began solving them daily in 2020 and constructing in 2021. He had his first published puzzle in Universal Crosswords in October 2023.

He occasionally publishes indie puzzles on his crossword site, puzzlesbyrich.com.

Rich also volunteers with dailycrosswordlinks.com, a website devoted to collecting and sharing all the day’s crosswords in one place.
